Join Cup of Excellence judge, Ricky Dyson at Mecca Coffee Alexandria as we cup the 2026 Legends of Excellence. 12 producers from 6 countries whose coffees have consistently ranked among the world’s best.

Among them is our long-time producer mate Benjamin Paz of Honduras.

For this year’s charity auction, each producer has donated just one 10kg box of their finest lot. Twelve producers. Twelve boxes. No more.

Before they go under the hammer in Tokyo at SCAJ Conference in October, we have the opportunity to taste all twelve side by side.

Producers Who Changed Coffee And Their Communities Forever

Legends of Excellence is an elite designation awarded to coffee producers who have consistently demonstrated exceptional quality, earning multiple Cup of Excellence wins over the years. Selected from six countries, these producers represent the pinnacle of craftsmanship, innovation, and dedication.

The class of 2026 grows the family. Six legends return from last year; their stories deeper, their impact wider and joined by six new inductees who have earned their place through years of relentless pursuit of quality.

Each of these producers has made a lasting impact, and this year the program extends that impact even further through a charitable initiative. By donating their coffees to be auctioned, half of the proceeds will support meaningful local social projects, while the remaining half will fund educational projects around the world.

The Alliance for Coffee Excellence and Cup of Excellence honor these twelve producers not just for their extraordinary coffee, but for their commitment to fostering a more equitable and sustainable coffee industry.
