Coffee Varietal: Local Landrace: Kurume and Wolisho
Harvest Year: January 2025
Coffee Process: Natural
Our next offer from Ethiopia, is the same coffee from Hadeso but in a different process, natural. It's a little bit more wild and funky with notes of hibiscus and yellow peach.
Hadeso (pronounced Had-ess-oh) is a privately-owned washing station in Ethiopia’s Guji zone, sitting at 1,950m above sea level. Founded in 2017, it has quickly earned a reputation for producing stand-out coffees. The first to arrive is the washed lot — sweet and creamy, with nectarine brightness and lingering vanilla florals.
Kurume and Wolisho are among the most celebrated landrace varieties in the region, prized for their delicate floral and stone fruit qualities — traits that shine beautifully in this washed release. For us, this coffee is both an introduction to Ethiopia as part of our Producer Series and a celebration of the depth and diversity of flavour that its varieties have to offer.
