“Tesoro” means treasure in Spanish. And Victor’s coffee production is rapidly becoming one.

His farm ‘Finca El Tesoro’ is located in the Huila region, one of the most iconic coffee growing areas in Colombia. 3.5 hectares of land that he and his wife cultivate with the help of local workers. El Tesoro’s specialty: the Tabi variety.

Tabi is a cross between Typica, Bourbon and Timor varieties. One of its unique characteristics is that it combines coffee leaf rust resistance with the exceptional cup quality of Bourbon and Typica. Due to Tabi’s atypical way of growing -more space between branches and cherry nodes- it’s easier to get the reddest and ripest cherries of the whole region.
