Our relationship with Pedro spans over a decade and he's one of the most sought-after producers in the acclaimed Santa Barbara region of Honduras.
This is the first of three coffees we've purchased from Santa Barbara this year. Our exploration and understanding of the specific terroir and flavour profile of these coffees continues to become more sophisticated.
Pedro Moreno was one of the first farmers to produce coffee in the region. Growing Pacas and Bourbon varieties on one hectare of land, Pedro chooses to farm without pesticides or fertilisers, to enrich the biodiversity on his farm and to ensure the quality of his coffee.
His unrestricted pride for the trade and country is intoxicating. “I’m so proud that my coffees have special value in other countries. This motivates me to keep working and fighting to put Honduras as a point of reference for great coffee” -Pedro Moreno.
